TRUCK INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION

Many Carriers have received reduced insurance premiums as a result of making the PTD-DDC part of their loss prevention program. The safe driving practices your drivers will learn and utilize will reduce crashes, save fuel, and reduce wear and tear on equipment.

This program will help you maintain compliance and provide corrective action to the CSA “CRASH” basic. You can train as many of your drivers as you want for less than $5 a driver!!

As a result of passing this 3 day instructor certification course you will receive your Instructor Certification from the Transportation Training and Development Institute at Kaskaskia College.

You will be fully prepared to teach the National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course for Professional Drivers.

This course can be taught in as little as four hours or expanded to eight hours with supplemental modules. To meet the fleet requirements for different industries, the program can be easily modified to address any company’s specific equipment, driver issues and policies.

This seminar can be conducted in two ways: it can focus on external customer service with the customer service and operations departments or it can be conducted with everyone in the company wherein we learn customer service for internal and external customers.

In today’s challenging economic environment a company needs every edge it can create to keep internal and external customers committed to them and to be able to charge a premium price for their services.

Identifying a customer’s expectations is easy. Meeting and exceeding a customer’s expectations is more difficult. The actual task of customer service takes a concerted effort on everyone’s part. Customer service must be understood to mean customer satisfaction. We strive for customer satisfaction so we can create customer loyalty.

Most managers don’t initiate change, strategically plan for growth, or implement appropriate measurements to create ownership and accountability because they don’t know how. They got to the position they’re in today because they were good at their job not because they were good Managers, Leaders, or Strategic Planners. As a result, most Presidents complain they are the only person to initiate new projects, initiatives, and strategic plans for the future of the company.

In the last ten years Impact has worked with hundreds of great managers that want to do the right thing, they just don’t know how. They failed to make the mental and behavioral shift of getting paid for what they get done rather than what they do. Many managers see themselves as “fire fighters.” Their entire day consists of putting out problematic fires within their department and company. Moreover, they have no strategic plan for personal or organizational development to proactively address the cause of the “fires” and ultimately grow beyond them.

Impact has created a Management Training/Coaching program wherein we work with Managers on an on-going basis to incrementally increase their Management, Leadership, and Strategic Planning skills. The curriculum of this program is scheduled over a twelve month period. It consists of one group training session per quarter at a centralized location and one private coaching session with each participant per month.

Kelly is not a trainer who believes drivers are always right or that they’re “Number 1.” Kelly is a trainer who has sat the seat from Over the Road Driver to Recruiter to Loss Prevention and ultimately Safety Manager of Recruiting for a 1720 truck fleet. He brings that experience and the experience gained from the last 11 years of independent consulting to the seminar. He uses it to instruct and facilitate the meeting so we work through the misconceptions and get commitment from individuals on what they will do on a daily basis to improve driver relations and reduce turnover.
